Conventional or synthetic?
Use what your owner's manual calls for. A lot of newer engines require full synthetic, and putting a cheaper oil in them isn't really saving money. The grade is usually printed right on the oil cap, something like 5W-30, and that's what we match.
How often should I change my oil?
Go by your owner's manual and your car's oil-life monitor, not a number off a quick-lube sign. Many cars on synthetic run 5,000 to 7,500 miles or more between changes. Short trips, towing and dusty gravel driveways count as hard use and call for sooner.
We'll tell you what we see
While it's on the lift, we can see things you can't from the driver's seat. If something needs attention, we'll say so, and we'll also tell you when it can wait. One customer put it this way in a review:

Do I need an appointment for an oil change?
Yes. We're appointment only, Monday through Friday. Call or text (865) 333-9959 and we'll give you a time.
Will you tell me if something else needs work?
Yes, and we'll tell you straight if it's something that can wait. If it's outside what we do, we'll point you to someone who does it.
Can you change my air filters at the same visit?
Yes. Engine and cabin air filters are quick to swap while the hood is up. See filters and wiper blades.
